The Orange County Museum of Art, also known as OCMA, is a place the whole family will enjoy. There are over 3,000 pieces of art that are modern based, which spotlights the California lifestyle. Selected pieces include local artist, as well as world wide known pieces.
It is OCMA mission to continually enhance the ever growing community of Orange County by providing an array of modern and contemporary art. This museum is highly known for the diversity that they house.
There are continual opportunities to volunteer. The museum has a varied schedule, allowing you endless possibilities. Volunteers can help with community events, exhibit tours and development drives. There are also internship possibilities, and a variety of job offerings.
Schedule
The OCMA hours of operation are as follows:
- Monday: CLOSED
- Tuesday: CLOSED
- Wednesday: 11am to 5pm
- Thursday: 11am to 8pm
- Friday: 11am to 5pm
- Saturday: 11am to 5pm
- Sunday: 11am to 5pm
Holidays OCMA is Closed:
- Fourth of July
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- New Year’s Day
Special hours of operation include:
- Christmas Eve – closing at 3 p.m.
- New Year’s Eve – closing at 3 p.m.
*These times take effect if these days fall on Wednesday – Sunday.
Administrative Hours of Operation:
- Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Closed on: 11/27, 11/28, 12/24, 12/25, 12/26, and 1/1.
Membership
When you become a member of OCMA, you will receive membership perks. If you plan to visit the museum often, a membership is highly recommended. Each membership package is designed to save you money, as well as help with developing educational programs and new exhibits for the museum. When you join during a visit to OCMA, your admission will be FREE for that day.

- Advocate $1,500
As one of the best places to go for art, the museum is often very busy on weekends. If you want to enjoy excellent art and you live nearby, a membership is the best way to get the most out of OCMA.
